The Nordmann fir is onf of the most popular varieties for growing as a Christmas tree, with attractive foliage and good needle retention. Takes around 10 years to reach 6ft. 

Also available as a starter pack which includes: 15 seeds, 3 compost pellets and 3 mini coir pots.

Sowing Instructions:

The first thing you need to do with the seeds is soak them in water for 24 hours, then drain, place in a freezer bag and leave them in the fridge for 6 to 8 weeks. After this they can be sown into pots and treated as you would with most types of seed. 

Alternatively, during Winter months the seeds can be sown directly into compost and placed into a coldframe or unheated greenhouse.
