Chard 'Rhubarb' Seeds (Organically Grown)

Plant Information:

Beta vulgaris subsp. cicla var. flavescens 

Sow: February to October
Harvest: June to April
Height: 60cm+

No veg patch should be without a couple of chard plants. Plants produce leaves throughout the year and the bright red leaves add interest even in the depths of winter. 

Sowing instructions: 

For early sowings start in Jiffy 7C pellets (available here) or seed trays, then pot on into 7cm pots, and again into 9cm before planting out. Can be sown direct later in the year.

Seeds germinate in 7-14 days.

Growing instructions:

Allow at least 20cm between plants. Harvest regularly throughout the growing season to encourage new growth.
