Sow: April to August 
Harvest: April to October

Add a bit of colour to your salads with thus unusual variety with deep red veining. 

Sowing instructions:

Start off indoors from March or sow direct late April. Sow thinly and then cover lightly with compost or vermiculite and seeds should germinate in 7-14 days. 

Growing instructions:

Harvest when the leaves are young and soft - the older the leaf, the hotter and more bitter it will be. Allow to flower if you want to harvest the flowers, which are lovely tossed in with new potatoes and a bit of butter or oil.

Notes:

Perennial, so will come back for a few years.
