One of Japan's oldest vegetables. Use the young leaves raw in salads or sushi, or lightly cook older stems and serve as a side dish.
Otherwise know as Japanese Saltwort, Saltwort or Agretti.
Uses:
Sowing Instructions:
Easy to start from seed. Start a few seeds off in cell modules and then pot on when large enough to handle, before planting out when all risk of frost has passed.
Growing instructions:
Can be grown in pots or open ground.
Harvesting instructions:
Pick frequently throughout the season to encourage new and bushy growth.
Notes:
Use as an alternative to Samphire or common Saltwort.
